Who We Are: The Anthropedia Foundation aims to promote mental health and decrease rates of lifestyle and stress-related illness through scientific research and education. Anthropedia creates and provides effective educational resources and programs to cultivate health and well-being. We work from the premise that physical and mental health are interconnected, and are linked with the health of society and the ecology of the planet.

What We Do: Our team of educators, artists, and multimedia specialists collaborate with experts in medicine, psychiatry, psychology, and public health to create comprehensive well-being training curriculum, courses, and accompanying resources (DVDs, books, audio CDs). Our educational resources and training programs teach ways to foster healthy behavior, self-awareness, psychological resilience, and positive emotion in ourselves and others. Our programs increase healthy behavior, physical and mental health, self-directedness, cooperativeness, and a sense of connection and meaning.

Why We Are Important: We offer a Resilience and Well-Being Course: Foundations and Advanced Methods for individuals seeking personal development, and a comprehensive Well-Being Coach Certification Training Program for helping professionals, such as counselors, social workers, and educators, as well as for the staff of organizations seeking a sustainable approach to well-being for their clients.

How We Impact The Community: We form strategic partnerships with schools and non-profits, and help their staff integrate our resources into their existing services. In St. Louis, we work with the St. Patrick Center, the Northwest R-1 School District (k-12), and Queen of Peace Center. We focus on "training the trainers" so that our educational outreach has a greater impact and empowers individuals of all ages to find greater fulfillment and live happier, healthier lives.

How You Can Help: We are funded by private donations and grants. We are also fortunate to have a robust group of volunteers that have completed our training program and help us work with the organizations we serve. We are grateful for individuals who are equally passionate about mental health and well-being education. We encourage you to donate today if you would like to support us in our mission. Also please join us at PALM Health's Annual Charity Gala Benefiting the Anthropedia Foundation, December 8th, 2017. Tickets can be purchased at PALM Health in Ladue or by calling 314.801.8898. We are currently taking applications for our 2018/2019 Well-Being Coach Certification program. Visit our website to learn more at www.anthropedia.org.
