SLAM Cancels Tours and Events Through 4/30

A note from the Saint Louis Art Museum:

Out of concern for the health and safety of its visitors, staff and volunteers, the Saint Louis Art Museum has suspended all tours and events through April 30. The decision comes after both St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson and St. Louis County Executive Sam Page issued public-health orders prohibiting large public gatherings.

The change takes effect at 5 pm on Sunday, March 15.

The museum’s collection galleries and exhibitions will remain open. Tickets to lectures and other canceled programs purchased through MetroTix will be refunded automatically.

The museum is regularly monitoring guidelines and announcements by federal, state and local health agencies and it will respond accordingly as new information becomes available.

For a complete list of affected programs and events, please visit slam.org.

The Saint Louis Art Museum is one of the nation’s leading comprehensive art museums with collections that include works of art of exceptional quality from virtually every culture and time period. Areas of notable depth include Oceanic art, pre-Columbian art, ancient Chinese bronzes and European and American art of the late 19th and 20th centuries, with particular strength in 20th-century German art.
