Laugh Out Loud This Valentine's Weekend at "The Reception"
by Julie Lally
Work & Leisure, Tenacious Eats and The Improv Shop cordially invites you to “The Reception,” the most unforgettable, laugh-out-loud event that you’ve ever attended. It takes place this Valentine’s weekend. This elevated dining experience is also immersive wedding experience wrapped in an entertaining show, and is perfect for the “weekend of love” both Friday February 14th and Saturday February 15th.
Enjoy dinner and a show while watching first-rate comedy with the one or ones you love. Or come by yourself and mingle with other singles.
During the “The Reception,” two hilariously dysfunctional Midwestern families are coming together for a wedding—and you, the audience—are on the guest list! This isn’t just a show, it is an immersive comedy dining experience where the audience gets to mingle, eat, drink, and maybe even dance their way into some family secrets. Get ready for a full night of wild entertainment as the talented team from The Improv Shop and some of your favorite local personalities take the stage as the wedding party of your dreams (or nightmares). Expect drunk aunts, cake-cutting chaos, dramatic fights, and a whole lot of laughs. Dig deep into your closet as worst-dressed awards will be handed out, so this is your time to shine in that questionable tie or sequined disaster.
Video features interview on KSDK-TV’s Show Me St. Louis.
