Jenna Fischer spoke to a sold out crowd Monday night at The Ethical Society in Clayton about her new book, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide. With a forward written by her "TV boss" Steve Carell, the book is not a memoir; it is a compilation of meaningful advice for aspiring actors.

Fischer is best known for her role as Pam, the receptionist, on NBC's "The Office." She stars now in a new comedy series on ABC called "Splitting Up Together." Fischer grew up in St. Louis and graduated from Nerinx Hall.

Monday night's book signing and talk was presented by Left Bank Books.
