Ben Folds Returns to the Symphony
Singer-songwriter Ben Folds, known for his alternative rock and indie hits, returns to collaborate with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra for two nights of concerts, Thursday and Friday, February 13-14, 2020. Both concerts start at 7:30pm.
A champion for orchestras, Folds blends pop and classical music to highlight the beauty of orchestral music, creating an engaging concert experience. He returns to perform with the SLSO following sold-out performances in February 2017. Special VIP Experiences are available: join Ben Folds with a meet and greet or Masterclass Experience. Since 2010, the SLSO has hosted more than 150 Live at Powell Hall concerts: from movies like Singin‘ in the Rain, Harry Potter, and Jurassic Park, to tribute concerts and one-night-only performances with award-winning guests including John Williams, Boyz II Men, Ben Folds, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Idina Menzel. Upcoming special guests this season include and the Aaron Neville Duo (February 21, 2020) and Sara Evans (June 6, 2020), plus tributes to Queen (February 28, 2020), The Beatles (May 29, 2020), the music of Motown (June 19, 2020), and David Bowie (June 26, 2020). Upcoming film scores the SLSO performs live include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (March 20-22, 2020), and Raiders of the Lost Ark (May 16-17, 2020).
