Kranzberg Arts Foundation Announces 3333
The Kranzberg Arts Foundation continues its mission to invest in the infrastructure and systems needed to support local artists and community arts organizations with its latest development project, 3333, a new mixed use building located at 3333 Washington Ave. in Grand Center. The two-story, 36,000-square-foot building, currently under construction, will house dedicated commercial and creative use spaces and is expected to open in the summer of 2021. 3333 will join nearby Kranzberg Arts Foundation developments in the immediate area including .ZACK, High Low, The Big Top, The Kranzberg and The Grandel.
Sophie's Artist Lounge, currently located at .ZACK, will relocate to 3333 at the street level, and the building will also contain a scene shop for set building to be shared by The Foundation's resident organizations.
Partial funding for this project was supported by IFF and the St. Louis Development Corporation's New Market Tax Credits loan fund dedicated to non-profit projects located in promise zones with deep community benefits.
"We are very excited to add 3333 to the family of Kranzberg Arts Foundation spaces and continue to invest in the future of the Grand Center Arts District and St. Louis' overall arts economy," said Chris Hansen, Executive Director of the Kranzberg Arts Foundation.
Through the development of performing arts venues, visual arts galleries, free music programs, and work spaces for non-profit arts organizations, the Foundation creates opportunities for and nurtures the growth of artists, while working with emerging and leading arts organizations to engage with St. Louis’s diverse community in ways that are relevant, inclusive, and inspiring.
