STL Teachers' Special Gifts from Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss, supermodel, entrepreneur, and the Founder of Kode With Klossy, recently completed funding for all 96 requests from St. Louis public school teachers on DonorsChoose. Karlie, a St. Louis native, helped fund requests ranging from tablets and headphones for e-learning to a classroom printer to molecular modeling kits. 

As a longtime advocate for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) learning through Kode with Klossy, Karlie left a note for each funded teacher saying, “Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for your students. As someone who benefited tremendously from the wonderful educators in St. Louis, I am honored to play a small role in ensuring your classroom is set up for success in 2021.”

DonorsChoose is a nonprofit crowdfunding where teachers request the resources and experiences they need most, and donors and partners fund the projects that inspire them. Every time a teacher’s project is funded, DonorsChoose purchases the requested items and sends them directly to the teacher. During the COVID-19 pandemic, DonorsChoose has worked alongside teachers to help deliver learning resources to schools as well as teacher and student homes for distance learning.
