Virtual COCAchella: A Huge Success
More than $500,000 was raised and approximately 1,700 guests “attended” virtual COCAchella, the annual fundraiser for COCA which moved to an online format due to restrictions in place from the COVID-19 pandemic. While most guests were from St. Louis, there were also some who attended from across the world- one perk of holding a virtual event!
COCA says it’s proof “that the arts are essential, and that during times of uncertainty, they bring us together and provide hope for the future.” The event featured clips from committee members and the co-chairs, board members, alums and more. Dance troupes performed and the after party featured live beats from popular St. Louis DJs.
Among the auction items was an invitation to Bradley Cooper’s holiday party at a private home in Florida in December. Also offered was a chance to return one of John McEnroe’s serves to win his personal tickets to the US Open!
