Nelly Glides Through Another Week of DWTS

Written by Carrie Edelstein

He’s been called “the easiest to watch” by the judges on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. St. Louis’ Nelly seems to only be getting better on the dance floor as he glides past his third week on the show. Nelly and his partner, Daniella Karagach, danced the Foxtrot last night for the Disney-themed show. While other contestants got to dress up and play princes and princesses, the singer was given the special honor of debuting a new film coming out in November from Disney. The duo danced to a live quartet playing “It’s Alright” from the upcoming film Soul.

DANCING WITH THE STARS – “Disney Night” – With a dash of pixie dust and a touch of illusion, 14 celebrity and pro-dancer couples competed for the third week as the magic of Disney returned to the ballroom live for the 2020 season last night on ABC. Never before seen… Nelly shows off a second week of custom made ballroom “shoes,” stitched out of Air Jordan’s for #YungSwivel by @theshoesurgeon.

The pair had a combined score of 18 out of 30 from the judges who appreciated his second week of custom ballroom shoes- Air Jordan’s stitched into a more formal look created by @theshoesurgeon. Nelly said he used to work for UPS when he was younger and needed to provide for his children, and that if he hadn’t followed his dreams, he wouldn’t be where he was. We’re dreaming of that mirror ball trophy for you, Nelly!

Dancing with the Stars airs Monday nights on ABC at 7pm cst.
