2nd Annual All-St. Louis Reading of "A Christmas Carol"
A new holiday tradition is taking hold here in St. Louis… Metro Theater Company’s annual reading of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens! Mark your calendars for this Tuesday, December 7…
After nationwide success and global viewing of last year’s virtual reading, Metro Theater Company remakes the all-St. Louis holiday reading into a live fundraising event at The Sheldon. Last season, the virtual reading brought together more than 25 outstanding St. Louisans as readers, including celebrities, artists, athletes, media personalities, and first responders. Viewed by audiences worldwide, the virtual event was successful in raising nearly $30,000 for Metro Theater Company.
The 2nd Annual All-St. Louis Holiday Reading of A Christmas Carol features a new lineup of local and national St. Louisans, both in person and remotely, reading excerpts from Charles Dickens' timeless classic. At the live event on December 7, audiences can enjoy readings from Emmy nominee Ellie Kemper (joining live, virtually); Dr. Joe Davis, superintendent of the Ferguson-Florissant School District; Vanessa Cooksey, CEO of the Regional Arts Commission; director, actor, and Visionary Award-winner Jacqueline Thompson; and actor and animator Michael Tran.
