The theme was Jerseys and Jewels for the 60thanniversary celebration of the Mathews-Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club. The event was held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch.

The Mathews-Dickey Boys’ & Girls’ Club (MDBGC) is a youth-development agency that produces Blue Chip Scholar Athletes through the winning formula: Scholarship + Athleticism + Character = Greatness.  The Athletic, Education, Arts, Healthy Living and Leadership/Professional Development programs transform the lives of more than 20,000 children, ages 5-18, throughout the metro area. 

Mathews-Dickey is committed to the mission of producing physically active, well-educated and hopeful youth with families at the center of their efforts. Central to this movement is the Blue Chips Academy, which leverages the arts, sports and health programming to encourage critical thinking, teamwork and healthier lifestyles. Through experiential learning focused on the core subjects of math and literacy, students maintain and improve their grades. Mathews-Dickey promotes civic engagement, while providing training and funds to make college both an expectation and a reality. By partnering with school districts, youth organizations and other community resources, MDBGC serves society's most needy while providing a unique opportunity for youth of all socioeconomic status to engage in activities to improve skills in STEM through aeroponic gardening, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, civic engagement, college preparedness and recreation.
