The Buzzing CWE Scene
What are your plans for Halloween? It’s almost a month away…
If the thought of finding a spot with all day festivities for the entire family scares you, look no further than the Central West End. A staple neighborhood here in St. Louis, the CWE offers more than just a one-night-only party for Halloween.
As written on their website, the neighborhood is a “bustling mixed-use district located on the eastern edge of the city’s ever-popular Forest Park”, and there is something for everyone in the Central West End. Walkable and welcoming, your day could be spent dining, shopping, or enjoying its wealth of arts and entertainment venues. But, if you’re a true St. Louisian, you already knew that. So, let’s talk about the CWE Scene … the series of community gathering events hosted along the streets of a neighborhood we all know and already love.
For the fitness junkie? Grab your mat, towel, and water bottle and try Fitness at the Fountain, a weekly guided fitness class. Stop in at LuluLemon afterwards, because you can always use another pair of black leggings.
Got game? Try your hand at a game of chess at the Saint Louis Chess Club. Free Adult Beginner Classes take place every week in a classroom setting. Do the kids want to learn, too? The Club also offers a Pure Beginners Class, just for Kids.
Working up an appetite? The CWE StrEATery is open for al fresco dining with all of your favorites - Brennan’s, Drunken Fish, El Burro Loco, and more!
As always, the Central West End is home to some of St. Louis’ premiere art galleries. SL’s favorites include projects + gallery by Barrett Barrera Projects and Philip Slein Gallery.
From wellness, to chess, to eating and drinking, to art and more, what doesn’t the CWE have to offer? You’ll have to head down to find out! If you go, let us know … tag @sophisticatedlivingmag in your photos on Facebook and Instagram.
