Explosive Interview Set to Begin 2024 St. Louis Jewish Book Festival on Nov 2

The St. Louis Jewish Book Festival is set to begin Saturday, November 2 with an explosive interview with Mickey Bergman about his book, In The Shadows: True Stories of High-Stakes Negotiations To Free Americans Captured Abroad. The remainder of the festival will feature authors of multiple literary genres and styles, including historical fiction, memoir, sports, cooking, and popular culture, like Happy Days, Bridgerton, and family recipes, culminating with an exclusive interview with Daniel Handler (AKA Lemony Snicket) on Sunday, November 17.

Opening Night is soon approaching, and you need to know the latest updates to the schedule.

The November 13 event with Nathan Galuten has been canceled. Many events that were originally scheduled to be held at the Staenberg Family Complex Edison Gymnasium will now be held in the Mirowitz Performing Arts Center at the J, with the exception of the following events:

  • Thursday, November 7 at 1pm: Benjamin Ginsberg will be held at the Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum.

  • Thursday, November 7 at 6:30pm: Women’s Night with Julia Quinn and Felicia Grossman will be held in the Staenberg Family Complex Edison Gymnasium.

  • Tuesday, November 12 at 1pm: Ilan Evyatar will be held at the Chabad Jewish Center of St. Charles County.

  • Sunday, November 17 at 7pm: Daniel Handler AKA Lemony Snicket will be held at the St. Louis County Library – Clark Family Branch.
