Diane von Furstenberg Visits St. Louis

The Saint Louis Fashion Fund (SLFF) in partnership with the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University brought legendary fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg to St. Louis on October 12. She filled the day, meeting with many locals, fashion students, designers, and patrons of STLFF. Mayor Tishaura Jones also presented Diane with a proclamation declaring "Diane von Furstenberg Day in St. Louis."

STAR DUST, a Tribute to David Bowie

Dance St. Louis, one of the country’s oldest and remaining nonprofit dance presenters, kicks off its 57th season on Saturday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Touhill Performing Arts Center with the presentation of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, the award-winning, New York City-based company that has been lauded for reinventing dance and contemporary ballet. Complexions is set to perform its blockbuster hit STAR DUST, a tribute to the life and music of David Bowie, full of glitter and glam.

The Wonderful World of E-Bikes

It turns out the secret to feeling young again might be getting on an electric bike. Sales of electric bikes, known as e-bikes, have soared in the last year. The Light Electric Vehicle Association predicts that more than one million e-bikes will be sold in the U.S. this year. Mike Weiss, owner of St. Louis’s Big Shark Bicycle Company, confirmed, “The e-bike category has been growing dramatically.”
